How long does it take to get a emergency new zealand passport while you are in the uk

my brother lost his passport and we are leaving on the 22nd of july 2008 back to new zealand [we are originally new zealanders]and we arent coming back the new zealand embassy is closed on the weekends so it isnt open till monday the day be4 we leave my brother urgently needs a new passport its suppose to cost 270 pounds for an urgent passport but it didnt say how long it will take can someone please tell me how long it wil take to get a new zealand passport to the uk
