Sources of history

can you tell me the relationship between primary and secondary sources of history
Question asked by: ernest kw

Asked on: 14 Apr 2010

Primary sources are first hand accounts.

For instance if you saw the coronation of queen elizabeth I and can talk about what you saw, what happened and so on then that is a primary source.

However if instead it was something that you read about in the newspaper and then based on that you wrote a book about it or told someone else, well then that would be a secondary source.
