What is the best place to see a kingfisher?
Question asked by: knowitall

If you want to see a kingfisher, then you need fresh water.
The best places are near rivers that have a good to gentle flow and are in secluded spots, with lots of overhanging branches and a good supply of fish.
Be patient and quiet and watch for the brilliant blur of their blue wings. Surprisingly small but unmistakable and a thrill to see.
