What is the moon Europa like?
Question asked by: knowitall
Europa is a planet of Jupiter, and one of the most studied of the planets.
Something very interesting about Europa is the fact that it is so smooth - smoother than other bodies in the solar system in fact.
It is frozen water ocean, and there are few craters which is quite interesting.
It is heated by the tug of Jupiter, but this is not so dramatic as on the closer moon Io. Because the surface is kept soft by the heat then features do not last long, hence the appearance.
