Who invented the Japanese puzzles range?

The Japanese puzzles have a range of authors and therefore saying with certainty who invented each one is very hard.
Some are even very old games that have just recently come to prominence whilst others have just come into fashion now.
Also there are more and more variants and new games being dreamed up all the time so it really is in a state of flux. Keep up!
