Who was William Shakespeare?

Question asked by: mrquestion

Asked on: 05 Jan 2010

William Shakespeare is only the most famous playwright that there has ever been in the whole of history!

William wrote a huge number of plays and these include classics such as Hamlet (the longest play) and also Macbeth and Romeo and Juliet; many of his works have been turned into movies and sometimes several times over (of a more or less faithful nature it has to be said).

He also wrote lots of sonnets some of which are really beautiful and also quite famous, particularly certain lines from the sonnets.
