Why do men like mean guys?

Do you mean women?
There is a general perception that women like the so called bad guys or mean guys because it is more exciting or they want to reform them.
Research and surveys suggests this is due to insecurities in the women actually and ironically enough and that those who are happy with themselves tend to look for nice guys.
