Why is it seen to be bad to be plus size in modelling world?
Question asked by: mrquestion

The reason it is seen as bad if you want to be a model to be plus size is simply that most modelling agencies set limits on how large you can be to join.
And in most cases agencies work with smaller models and do not work with larger models, apart from specialist plus size modelling agencies.
Therefore if you want to be a model and get work it is tougher if you are larger as there are less agencies and less opportunities. And that's why it is bad to be plus size if you want to be a model, although that's the fashion industry for you! In the real world it is a good thing not to be all skin and bone!
