Buddha believed that there is no external God .Then why do Budhhist pray Budhdha?

if there is no God according to Budhdhist then how can Budhdha be God?

I don't know anything about Buddhism so don't know what the belief is, however your sentence is logically correct - IF it is the case that they believe there is no god, then no-one can be god under that belief.
