Can guinea pigs go outside their hutch?

Question asked by: mrquestion

To some extent it depends where you live. For instance if there are predators that can access where they are, then you should not let them out apart from under cover.

If you live in a sealed garden whereby no cats or other predators can get in then you should be OK letting the animal roam free in the garden. If there are owls or other aerial predators of course then you can't.

Otherwise build some sort of run made of chicken wire for the guinea pig to use.
