Can we time travel to the future?
Question asked by: mrquestion

We can time travel to the future at the moment, and it has been done to a very small extent.
Not many people realise this is currently technically possible and that we know how to do it, and have done it.
Basically the key is speed: if you travel really quickly then time slows down for you in relation to another frame of reference moving more slowly. For instance if you're whizzing around space at a fair percentage of light speed, then you come back to earth, you'll find that earth has experienced much more time to pass than you have: go away what for you seems like a year (and that year passes to you normally you don't notice things slowing down) then come back and it may be, depending on your speed, that millenia have passed on earth!
