How can i get biro pen out of nubuck leather?

To get rid of ink from a biro or a ballpoint pen there is a usual trick to try to see if it works.
That is to spray the affected area with hair spray.
This has been proven to work well to help dissolve the ink from these ballpoint pens and therefore be effective at removal of these sorts of stains.
