How could the acid rain problem in britain affect people in norway?
Question asked by: knowitall
This is all to do with winds and the way that the winds and air currents tend to move.
Essentially a common pattern is for the air from Britain to rise north and west and therefore the pollution from the UK can fall as rain in the Scandinavian forests, and indeed fall as acid rain.
Thus Norway can be adversely affected as the pollution will make rain acid and then fall over Norway.
