How do i convince my friends?

If you really like the boy and there's nothing too crazy with him, then just ignore your friends.
It doesn't matter if they think he is a jerk because they are not the ones going out with him plus also often the reaction of friends is due to jealousy because they wanted to be asked out by him, girls can be really bitchy can't they!
