How do i convince my friends?

I really like this boy and he's asked me out but I said know because my friends think he's a jerk and if my parents found out they would kill me.what to I do ?

If you really like the boy and there's nothing too crazy with him, then just ignore your friends.

It doesn't matter if they think he is a jerk because they are not the ones going out with him plus also often the reaction of friends is due to jealousy because they wanted to be asked out by him, girls can be really bitchy can't they!
