How do I remove lino floor tiles easily, without leaving the backing of the tile behind on the floor?

Question asked by: knowitall

Removing lino floor tiles can be a difficult job, and certainly not easy!

The best bet is to use a rotary tool to cut along the grout lines. Once you have done that successfully, you then need to prise out the lino tiles.

To do that, use a pry bar.

Note that you should be careful at all stages of any DIY project, good luck!

I HAVE REMOVED VINYL FLOOR TILESW ON SEVERAL JOBS TO DO THIS YOU CAN EITHER USE A HEAT GUN AND SCRAPER OR I HAVE EVEN USED A WALLPAPER STEAMER AND SCRAPER TO REMOVE THEM REMEMBER WHEN USING HEAT GUN THE FUMES OFF THE TILES ARE TOXIC OPEN ALL WINDOWS AND TAKE A REGULAR BREAK BY THE WAY IT ALSO NEEDS A LOT OF PATIENCE .STEVE THE PLUMBER
