How do you get a model portfolio like on America's Next Top Model?

To get a diverse model portfolio like they build up over the course of the series is going to be quite hard since they do some weird and whacky shoots that cost a lot of money beyond the budget of those looking to build a portfolio.

Therefore your best bet is to pay for a session with a respected photographer and get their ideas on how to build up your portfolio they should be someone who specialises in people photography and be able to show a portfolio of their work so that you know they are good at their job and will be able to help present you in the best light possible.
