I have had to pay £49 for modelling cards and CV is that ok?

Question asked by: knowitall

Paying for anything to do with modelling should usually be treated with suspicion, just because most reputable places make their money from selling your modelling services and taking a commission rather than charging you up front.

The proof will be in whether you get any modelling work as a result.

Any reputable agency would never ask for a payment upfront. Your portfolio is built up within the time you are in the agency, by each job you are asigned by them, after each job the agency usually take a certain percentage as their wage, and that is how they make their money.
