I think I deserve a bigger bonus: what can I do to show this?

If you think that you deserve a bigger bonus then what you need to do is be able to explain why you think that is the case.

This can be tricky because no-one knows for sure what bonus other people get and it is usually relative to other people, in other words in many companies they apply some sort of normal distribution to ensure that each team hits an overall expected profile: therefore you need to know how you did relative to others which is very hard to measure.

However overall you need to be able to show how you did against your targets: if you exceeded them all you expect an excellent bonus and if you met them all then you expect a respectable one.
