PH of 10^-8(M) HCl soln.

What is the pH of 10^-8 molar HCl solution?

The pH is 6.98.

You may think it is straightforwardly a pH of 8 but you need to remember this is a weak acid and therefore it cannot be above pH 7.

The H+ from water has to be taken into account too.
