POWERS AND ROOTS

I am doing home work and want to know why the answer of sqaure root of 10(3.162278) does not have the same answer when we go the other way around (3.162276 square).

That is purely due to rounding errors on the calculator.

The (square root of 10)squared IS 10 because they are inverse operations, a bit like division and multiplication or subtraction and addition.
