Solve equation

the resistance (R) in a given length of wire is inversely proportional to the square of the diameter (d) of the wire. the resistance is 12 ohms when the diameter is 2 mm. calculate the diameter when the resistance is 18.75 ohms

Given length of wire is inversely proportional to the square of the diameter (d) of the wire. the resistance is 12 ohms when the diameter is 2 mm. calculate the diameter when the resistance is 18.75 ohms

18.75 / 12 = 1.5625

Now square root that and double it to get wire of 2.5mm diameter.
