Three of the most important things that have happened in history?

Hmm... this one is a bit of a vague question as there are hundreds of important things in history that have happened, and a resident of one country will think rather differently to another!
However, things like the Norman conquest of Britain, the War of Independence, the Industrial Revolution are all clearly notable dates in history.
