What are straighteners?

Straighteners are products that do what the name suggests, they straighten the hair!
The most common brand is called GHDs, or at least ghd's are a popular brand, but there are several types of straighteners.
Basically they work by getting very hot and burning the hair quickly to make it go straight - if you use for too long then you will damage the hair therefore so you need to get the technique right.
