What is the easiest way of working out percentages in your head?for example, how can you work out 25% of 328? i cant work out 0.25x328 mentally?

The easiest way is to work out what a simple percentage of it is, like ten percent or one percent, and then multiply that up.

So ten percent is 32.8 for instance, half that you can also instantly tell is 16.4

So all you need to do then is 32.8 + 32.8 + 16.4 in your head again you can instantly do that and get that the result is 65.6 + 16.4 which is obviously 82 and there you go - you have worked out the answer in about two seconds total.
