Why does silk feel so nice to touch?
Asked on: 14 Aug 2009

Silk is a type of fibre that feels nice and smooth to the touch because it is silk.
I know that sounds a bit circular but I guess the reason chemically is to do with the way that the particles within silk bond such as to create a smooth and, well, silky touch as a result!
