A pendulum is made of metal wire.what happens to the period if it is used during very hot conditions

When the metal gets hot it will expand, making it longer.
This means that the distance covered will increase so presumably the period increases too?

If it is used during a hot conditions then it is also possible that isomewhere melt and decrease its mass so if mass is decreased thenits time period is also decrease
