Advantages and disadvantages of waves.

Waves are advantageous if you are a surfer because they are good fun to surf.
They are also good for wave powered processes and a potential source of energy.
They are bad in that tsunamis, giant waves, can be a devastating natural disaster, and waves in general can pull people out to sea and lead to drownings.
