Does a persons density stay the same on the moon as on earth and why?
Question asked by: knowitall
Yes - if you are dense on earth then you are just as dense on the moon!
The reason is that density is a physical measure of how much stuff there is in you - this does not change no matter where you are.
This contrasts to weight which does take into account the conditions, e.g. on earth the pull of gravity. Your weight does decrease on the moon as there is less gravity, and hence you can make huge leaps and jumps into the air.
