How can I remember a phone number?

To remember a phone number there are a few ways.
The oldest way is simply to keep on repeating it until it goes into your memory, this is called learning by rote.
The best way is to associated each number with an object then build a little story around those numbers.
For instance a two might be a swan so if you have 5 as a snake then remembering the '25' part of a phone number could have a swan being chased by a snake - build up a funny image for the whole number and it is easy to remember.
