How can I safely darken my hair?

To darken your hair, the first step is to get a suitable hair dye.

Most hairs react in a reasonably similar way to colours, but some do act strangely, so make sure that you get the right product for your hair colour and type - most manufacturers now make ranges that state who the hair dyes work best on.

Then use one of these. For the safest results go for a darker shade of your current hair colour rather than a completely different colour as that is most likely to give the oddest results.
