How long should my CV be?

Question asked by: knowitall

Your CV should be long enough to accurately state the major milestones and achievements of your career, and short enough that there is no repetition, ramble, or elements that are of little or no interest to a prospective employer.

If you are a graduate who is looking for their first job, then a one page CV will probably suffice.

As you proceed through your career you will need a little more space to highlight key achievements to date, and therefore a two page CV will do the trick.

Never go for more than this as a longer CV just will not be read - two pages is the maximum.
