# There are 37 numbers on a roulette wheel. The first winning number is 12. What are the chances that the second winning number will also be 12?

Question asked by: LadyDee

The chance of the next outcome being the same number is not affected by previous instances, therefore the chance is still 1 in 37 of it being that number the second time around.

However, if the question is what is the chance of having 12 occur two times in a row, then the answer is 1/37 x 1/37.
