What camera should I use for bird photography?

Question asked by: mrquestion

For bird photography the key is that you will need a camera with a good quality telephoto or zoom lens, because of course birds are very small and unlikely to be close enough to get any detail of them with a normal lens.

So choose a good quality camera with a big lens which would have meant an SLR in the old days but now there are quite a lot of good digital SLRs around instead so one of these could be up to the job.
