What does WIMP stand for?
Question asked by: knowitall

WIMPs are Weakly Interacting Massive Particles.
They are one postulated explanation for what composes so-called Dark Matter, which is the theoretical entity which has never been seen, that has been postulated to explain the phenomenon that there appears to be a greater mass to the universe than can be explained through solely counting the amount of known visible matter. Got that?!
