What is a blank out crossword?
Question asked by: mrquestion
Asked on: 21 Jan 2010
A blank out crossword is one whereby the entire grid is filled in at the start, as in there is a letter in each cell of the grid and it is fully white.
The aim is to then blank out cells - as in colour them in - to hide letters in the grid.
Ultimately you will result with a filled in crossword puzzle solution that is valid. Usually there is symmetry in the grid to help you solve it and reduce the possible options.
