What is a root filling?
Question asked by: mrquestion

This is a more extensive type of dental treatment than an ordinary filling.
Whereas with an ordinary filling the decay is removed from the tooth then filled, with a root filling the nerve in the tooth is removed from the tooth, and then the root is filled and treated too in addition to the tooth, therefore this is a longer taking and more substantial, and indeed expensive treatment, than an ordinary filling would be.
