What is black hole radiation?
Question asked by: mrquestion

A very sciency question that, perhaps you're not doing GCSE science to be asking that!
However black hole radiation is the phenomena predicted by Stephen Hawking whereby black holes are not completely black and do give something back, as it were, through black hole radiation - radiation coming out of the black hole.
Some holes can omit different sorts of radiation for instance microwaves for larger holes or even things like electron/positron pairs for smaller black holes. The radiation is a tiny amount of the energy that is being taken into the hole.
