What is the possibility of a god existing?
Question asked by: knowitall
It is impossible to be able to state what the probability of this is as we could never really know enough about the universe and the state of it to see what the chance of this was.
There seem to be logical problems whichever start to the universe you imagine - matter from nothing, matter always there, or some immaterial (in the orthodox sense) being that was always there.
So there is of course a real possibility but we could probably never know for sure enough to be able to give the accurate odds as it were, which is why religion is a matter of faith. Certainly there is no reason for it to be illogical to have faith as some people would have you believe.
