Which perrenial plants grow best in partial shade?

I have a small patch of soil at the side of my house which gets only partial sunlight, so I was just wondering what sort of flowers would grow best there? I would like to have some colour aswell as the flowers being perrenials.

Gosh, there are just so many there are literally too many to mention. It also depends to some extent where you are and what plants grow well in that climate / soil conditions.

Best thing to do is go to the local garden centre, surely they will be very pleased to give some recommendations based on your particular area and even country.
