Help for getting nervous at interview?

Question asked by: mrquestion

Asked on: 22 Dec 2009

Getting nervous before an interview is very natural, it would be worrying if you did not get nervous before an interview to some extent!

The problem is working out how to control the nerves, as for many being nervous actually helps them do well. If it just turns your brain to mush, then you need to prepare really well for the interview. If you know that you have done all you can then this will help to put your mind at rest and help you gain control over the interview situation.

Remember to take deep breaths, sit up straight, and adopt an open position as this will also help calm nerves. Take your time before an answer and above all look confident, smile, and by acting in a confident manner this will also help to control the nervousness.
