What is the American style of grid?
Asked on: 14 Aug 2009
In crossword terms, this grid has hardly any filled or black cells as most cells belong to the puzzle grid.
It is also much more tightly crossed and perhaps even fully crossed compared to the British style of grid. This means there are many more clues/solutions in the puzzle and much more liberty is taken with acronyms and so on.
