Why do robots add friends on Twitter?
Question asked by: mrquestion

There are quite a lot of robot type profiles on Twitter that add lots of people as friends.
You can see them as generally there is hardly anyone following them whilst they have huge number of people that they are following.
Not quite sure what the purpose of these profiles is but perhaps it is so you add them back so they can start advertising at you... not sure really?!
