Why do some celebrities go crazy when they get famous?

It is a very interesting fact that some celebs can cope with being famous and rich all of a sudden whilst others can't.
It seems to be the case that those who are grounded and have their heads and feet on the ground before celebrity do fine with it, whilst those that are not so grounded have all the fame and fortune and new fans go to the head and can't cope which leads to problems.
