Many people believe that the story of Adam and Eve is just that - a story rather than one to take as literally being true.
There are lots of other women mentioned in the Bible as you read it you will notice that there are hundreds of people mentioned in it.

The question comes up because some wonder where Adams firstborn son Cain got his wife. At Gen. 3:20 it says that ..."Eve had to became mother to everyone living" The idea of close relatives marrying is considered taboo in our society, however it was not until Moses received God’s laws for the nation of Israel in 1513 B.C.E. that intercourse between such close relatives was specifically forbidden.—Leviticus 18:9, 17, 24. Also We must remenber that although they were now imperfect sinners they were still closer to perfection than are we (in a physical sense)and could have offspring without effects that today comes with intercourse bettween close relatives.
