How do I get into TV production?

There are lots of routes into TV production.
One good way is to start off by shadowing or a work placement at a production company.
That way you can find out what the job involves and see if it is for you or not whilst getting a little profile for yourself.
Then when jobs come up you can apply and as they know who you are if you impressed then you have a head start in getting that job with them.
