What is the mind body problem?

Question asked by: mrquestion

Asked on: 07 Jan 2010

The mind body problem is the problem about what the relationship is between the mind and the body, and how the mind can influence the body.

If the mind is just a physical process or the result of complex physical processes then this is not a problem the problem comes if the mind is seen as literally mental and not physical in nature as to how something non physical can affect physical processes.
