Why do weather forecasts in England and Wales always concentrate on Scotland?
Question asked by: mrquestion

It is undoubtedly a curious thing but a recent survey showed that Scotland gets mentioned more time and more time spent on it in weather forecasts than either England or Wales, both of which are often just glossed over in the forecast.
It could be because there tends to be different weather conditions up north or simply that people who control the weather on TV are maybe scottish, who knows! Interesting question though.
